How Prince Harry’s shocking actions after Queen Elizabeth II’s death stunned the entire royal family?

Prince Harry had not thought to startle his family by asking them for this favour. But on the day Queen Elizabeth II died, a very unwelcome request would have shocked the royal family, as Robert Jobson writes in his new book about Charles III.

In a biographical book about King Charles III published this week in the UK, veteran royal correspondent Robert Jobson has compiled new, never-before-revealed anecdotes about members of the royal family. In particular, he talks about Prince Harry’s attitude to the death of his grandmother on 8 September. As The Mirror reports, Prince Harry did not want to go to Balmoral with his family because he had fallen out with them again, insisting that Meghan accompany him to Scotland.

So Prince Harry decided to travel alone when the King refused to allow him to join them with his wife. Robert Jobson writes that “the family were shocked by his attitude”. Prince Harry was the last to arrive at Balmoral Castle where his grandmother had breathed her last. He did not get to see her alive, but his brother, who arrived earlier, was not so lucky either.

Prince Harry spoke to his father

Eight months after the Queen’s death, things seem to be changing between Prince Harry and King Charles III. The younger prince broke the suspense about his attendance at the coronation by saying that he would be there, without his wife Meghan. According to The Sun, this decision was made following a discussion between the two men. The British daily reports that the king and his son had “a heart-to-heart talk” about their relationship, a sign that the two men are on the road to reconciliation. Prince Harry has not yet spoken to WIlliam, however, after all the anecdotes of sibling rivalry he has reported in recent months. A dark spot that has yet to be dug up.
