The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been surprised by our colleagues of Page Six around the very secret San Vicente Bungalows, in Los Angeles. Harry and Meghan Markle would have paid a small fee to be part of its members.

It is the most confidential place in Los Angeles. Much more than a private club, the San Vicente Bungalows is a sanctuary for celebrities who want to relax away from prying eyes: “Privacy has become the ultimate luxury,” said owner Jeff Klein to GQ. Seduced by the concept that advocates absolute discretion, Harry and Meghan Markle were surprised by our American colleagues of Page Six at the entrance of the club. They had an appointment for a dinner with friends. To offer the services of the San Vicente Bungalows, the two members of the royal family have apparently not looked at the expense. According to information relayed by Express this Sunday, March 26, the Sussex couple would pay the sum of $ 4,200 (nearly 3,900 euros) per year to be part of the club.

An inside source revealed that Harry and Meghan Markle would have refused to use the entrance door at the back of the building reserved for the most important guests: “Harry and Meghan said that everything was fine and that they did not need to use it. And even when they left, they went through the main entrance,” said a witness. Also according to Express, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took time to chat with actress Kate Hudson while enjoying some food that they “barely touched” according to a waiter at the club. Their arrival at the San Vicente Bungalows came shortly after the couple was invited by Charles III to leave their English residence, Frogmore Cottage.

Only 10% of applications accepted

Following the many media waves – consequences of their move to California, Harry’s book or even their coming or not to the coronation on May 6 – the Duke and Duchess of Sussex seems to have opted for tranquility. It is undoubtedly this promise that led Harry and Meghan Markle to turn to San Vicente Bungalows. Indeed, the establishment is adamant about the rules of discretion. Anyone who dares to violate them will have their membership rights immediately revoked. According to the owner, being a celebrity does not exempt you from this law. The application procedures for joining the club are very strict. New member profiles must be submitted by a sponsor who is already a member. They are then examined by a committee of fourteen representatives and only 10% of them are accepted according to GQ. Harry and Meghan are part of the ‘happy few’.
