Harry and Meghan chased by Charles III: the perfect excuse to skip the coronation?

A few weeks after the publication of Prince Harry’s damning memoirs, the news of the Sussexes’ eviction from Frogmore Cottage seems to be a retribution. The ideal way to divert the invitation to the coronation of Charles III.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are losing their official royal residence in the United Kingdom. Enough to make them want to avoid returning to London for the coronation of King Charles III? The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who now live full-time in California, have been asked to leave Frogmore Cottage, their British residence since 2019, according to statements from a spokesperson for the couple in a statement shared Wednesday. It was not specified when the couple will leave the house and Buckingham Palace did not comment. According to ABC News contributor Omid Scobie, who is close to the former actress, Prince Harry’s father, King Charles III, made the decision to evict his son and daughter-in-law from their home in January, shortly after the former’s bombshell memoir was published.

The reported changes at Frogmore Cottage come less than six months after the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September, when her eldest son Charles became king. Despite the already existing tensions between the two lovers and the rest of the royal family, their two young children to manage and an overloaded job across the Atlantic, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could find, with this kicking out, a new excuse not to go to the expected coronation of Charles III next May. They have, for several weeks, received an invitation without responding to it.

Only a few months spent at Frogmore

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left their duties in the royal family in 2020, after becoming financially independent and moving to California. In 2019, the queen had given the duo permission to move from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage, which is on the grounds of Windsor Castle, about 40 km from London. The couple had renovated the house, an 18th-century home that had been split into several apartments for royal staff, and moved in shortly before the birth of their first child in May 2019, a son named Archie.

  1. It’s a very childish thing to do King Charles taking Harry Meghan and your grand children u k home away from them ,I hope you never see your grand children again and if you do look them in the eye and tell them what you did, taking their u k home, pulling security ,away from them ,you are the worst monarch we’ve ever had ,my hope is that karma is around the corner to greet you badly

  2. Ms Crossley,
I hope your children never treated you like Harry has treated his family. I hope there is more retribution from King Charles. Harry is mental and his wife is a greedy self serving hag.
