Interviewed by the American tabloid People this Thursday, April 21, 2022, Prince Harry, who is currently in the Netherlands to attend the Invictus Games, made touching statements about his mother, Lady Diana, who died at the age of 36 in 1997.

Since returning to Europe to attend the Invictus Games, which are being held in the Netherlands until Friday, April 22, 2022, Prince Harry has given several interviews to the press, including one to the American tabloid People on Thursday, April 21. In his interview, the Duke of Sussex addressed touching words to his late mother, Lady Diana, who tragically died at the age of 36 in a car accident in Paris in 1997.

Asked about his commitment to others and several charities, Meghan Markle’s husband explained to our confrères that he hopes his mother sees him from beyond and that “everything he does” makes her proud. “In the 12 short years I was lucky enough to live with her, I saw and felt the energy, the drive she got from helping others, no matter where they came from, their illnesses or their status. Her life and their lives were only better for it, no matter how short they were,” he said with emotion, adding that he “honors (his) mother in every action she takes.” “I am my mother’s son,” he concluded.

As a reminder, Prince Harry was only 12 years old when Lady Diana passed away. Since then, he has continued the work started by his mother with several charities, in particular with the association Halo Trust, which deals with demining missions. The late wife of Prince Charles was involved with the charity in Angola in the 1990s. Her altruism, compassion and devotion to just causes were widely appreciated by the British people.

Lady Diana’s life and tragic end brought to the screen in the film Spencer

Loved by all, Princess Diana’s life was portrayed in the movie Spencer. Her role is played by Kristen Stewart, who revealed to InStyle in 2020 that she struggled to play William and Harry’s mother. The feature film takes viewers deep into the heart of Diana’s failed marriage to Prince Charles and also chronicles her fatal accident. “It’s one of the saddest stories ever, and I don’t want to just play Diana, I want to know her implicitly. In fact, it’s been a long time since I’ve been so excited about playing a role,” said Robert Pattinson’s ex.
