This Wednesday, May 19, was marked by the third wedding anniversary of Meghan Markle and Harry. To celebrate the event, they made a nice announcement via the website of their foundation Archewell.
Three years of passions and scandals. This Wednesday, May 19, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their three years of marriage. Their life has changed since the day they said “I do” in St. George’s Chapel, located in London. They moved to the other side of the world, to California, to distance themselves from the British royal family.
Since the officialization of the Megxit last February, the Sussexes have not stopped damaging the image of the British monarchy as well as its members with all kinds of explosive interviews. However, they keep some royal traditions, such as the publication of an unpublished photo of their son to celebrate his second birthday. On the other hand, for their wedding anniversary, Archie’s parents opted for an original gift and especially turned to others.
This Wednesday, the parents-to-be of a little girl announced how they had celebrated their 3rd anniversary as husband and wife. On their Archewell Foundation website, Meghan Markle and Harry shared a statement explaining that they were continuing their partnership with World Central Kitchen, the non-profit organization of Spanish-American chef José Andrés. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic and the terrible situation in India, Archewell is helping to create a new community relief center in Mumbai.
“In support of India, the Archewell Foundation and World Central Kitchen are focused on the long-term needs of local communities,” the statement announces before continuing, “The Mumbai location will be the third in a series of four community relief centers that our organizations are committed to developing in areas of the world disproportionately affected by natural disasters.”
A noble cause
While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry officially launched their Archewell Foundation last October, it wasn’t until December that they announced their first charitable project. It is therefore alongside José Andrés and his non-profit organization, World Central Kitchen, that the former members of the royal family decided to work. A beautiful cause that continues to be developed thanks to the support of the Sussexes.
