A year after arriving in Los Angeles, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have rolled up their sleeves, determined to build a real empire. But who are the members of their Hollywood galaxy?
A new page is being written for the Sussexes. Rid of the constraints of their former life in the Crown, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are gradually building their life in Los Angeles. After having emptied their bag in front of Oprah Winfrey, the Sussex couple now have their work cut out for them and intend to build a new empire in Hollywood. Prince Harry, who no longer receives money from Prince Charles, is likely to be very busy in the coming months, as he has landed not one but two high-paying jobs. The Duke of Sussex has taken Silicon Valley by storm by joining coaching and mental health startup BetterUp as Chief Impact Officer but will also be one of the members of the Aspen Institute’s new commission on fake news.
The Sussexes, who created the Archewell Foundation, have signed deals with Netflix and Spotify that should pay off handsomely. To carry out their activities, Meghan and Harry have recruited highly regarded professionals, now members of their close guard. Among them, James Holt, the former communications officer of the Royal Foundation.
The Briton succeeds Catherine St. Laurent, who resigned as head of the Archewell Foundation after only eleven months in office. Ben Browning, who produced the Oscar-nominated film Promising Young Women, will be responsible for content for Archewell Productions and Archewell Audio. Former soccer player Toya Holness has been hired as the couple’s press secretary. After working with Hillary Clinton on her 2016 presidential campaign, American Genevieve Roth will serve as senior strategic advisor for the Sussexes.

To tell their truth, Meghan and Harry had not chosen Oprah Winfrey at random. The American TV papess is a close friend of Meghan Markle, and had even attended the Sussexes’ wedding in the UK in 2018. American journalist Gayle King is also part of Meghan and Harry’s inner circle, and had even recently revealed that Prince Harry and Prince William did not have productive exchanges after the Sussexes’ explosive interview.
