The British royal family is trembling at the next Sussex interview on American television. The couple could evoke tensions with Prince William.
On March 7, Meghan and Harry will be interviewed by host Oprah Winfrey in a 90-minute television show on the American channel CBS. A first since the announcement of the Megxit in January 2020, then their move to Los Angeles with their son Archie. The opportunity for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to talk about their new life across the Atlantic but also to look back on the “tensions” they faced with the British monarchy. According to a source close to the couple, they planned to tell “their truth” in a “very frank” interview.
Meghan and Harry could also talk about the relationship between Prince William and Harry. The two brothers have not been in contact for a very long time. A source close to the royal family told the Daily Mail that “Harry and William haven’t spoken to each other for some time, and having Meghan Markle talk to Oprah about their relationship or their relationship with the royal family won’t help.
Things are still going badly between them, even though they both want to mend that bond.” And obviously William doesn’t know what the couple is going to tell in the interview. “William doesn’t know what they’re going to tell Oprah, no member of the royal family knows. They’ll find out at the same time as the others, although I doubt they’ll be watching her,” the source added.
Conflicting relationships
Relations between Princes William and Harry have deteriorated since Meghan Markle joined the royal family. Despite the efforts of the Sussex and Cambridge couples to get along, the tide never turned, especially between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. Tensions that kept the two brothers apart for many months… The hatchet is not yet buried!
