Harry and Meghan: this royal tradition that they will continue to respect despite their departure

For their first Christmas as former members of the British Royal Family, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will still respect traditions. In a few days, they should delight their admirers.

A rather peculiar first… A few months after officially leaving the ranks of the British Royal Family and moving to Los Angeles with their son Archie, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will experience their first Christmas as former members of the Crown.

The Christmas holidays are bound to be special, especially because of the coronavirus pandemic which has also turned the new American life of Sussex upside down. But despite the Megxit, the Duke and Duchess do not intend to turn their backs on the Crown. Proof: the couple is preparing to respect a tradition dear to the heart of the members of the royal family. In a few days time, they will publish a traditional family photo, as the Cambridge family has already done – with a rustic cliché – but also Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles.

“There is this next Christmas greeting card. I think it’s on its way”, it was the perfect season to “deliver” new unpublished photos. “We’re still waiting for the Sussex card, I think it’s on its way”, and the adorable photo published by the Sussex last year: “They treated us in 2019 with this really cute photo of Archie”.

Last year for their greeting card, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle broke with tradition by deciding to publish a picture on the internet. But many fans had praised the couple’s bold and intimate choice of a photograph of their son, crawling towards the lens, taken by one of their friends. After months of tension, the Sussex should therefore be back to the traditions of the Crown.

Time for reconciliation

In fact, for several weeks now, relations between the Sussex and other members of the royal family have calmed down considerably. Thanks in particular to the coronavirus pandemic. “The British royal family is planning Zoom calls and online games because they can’t all spend Christmas at Sandringham together as they normally do,” said one source.

Everyone is in better shape and has been for some time. The relationship has improved and Covid-19 has brought everyone closer together”. She continued: “Harry was very worried about his brother and father when they both contracted the disease.

Although there were disagreements, as there are in every family, the brotherly bond remains intact despite what the tabloids say”. During this particular Christmas season, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took an important step towards the Cambridge family. The time for reconciliation has finally come.
