Meghan Markle reappears after her shocking miscarriage message

After her poignant column in the New York Times revealing her miscarriage, Meghan Markle came out of silence again this Sunday, December 13. The Duchess of Sussex wanted to thank the daily heroes who have worked tirelessly in the shadows since the beginning of the pandemic.

Surprise appearance of Meghan Markle this Sunday, December 13. The Duchess of Sussex spoke on the CNN Heroes special to honour the “silent heroes” who have been working on the front lines since the beginning of the health crisis.

“In a year that has been universally difficult for everyone, I am inspired by the stories of compassion in our communities. Across the country, people have set aside their own needs to come together and support the collective well-being of those around them,” Prince Harry’s wife said respectfully in a pre-recorded video.

An unexpected sequence in which little Archie’s mother appears dressed in a purple blouse tied around her neck, with make-up in the same shades and hair tied up, sitting on the bench of a sublime flowery garden.

With a smile, she wanted to salute the kindness and altruism of those who have worked tirelessly to help the most vulnerable. Meghan Markle paid special tribute to the associations that have distributed many meals to people in need.

Last April, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex themselves helped distribute meals for Project Angel Food, a non-profit charitable organization that cooks, prepares and delivers meals to people with serious illnesses, who are at greater risk during this pandemic.

Dressed in a blouse and naturally wearing make-up, Meghan Markle appeared alone from her home in Los Angeles, on what appears to be the bench where she had also intervened last October to launch a call for votes with Prince Harry for the American elections. A first very notable appearance for the Duchess of Sussex, who had not appeared in public from her rostrum in the New York Times last November, where she revealed that she had had a miscarriage.

A poignant testimony

Since the announcement of her miscarriage, this is the first time Meghan Markle has publicly come back to the forefront. In a moving op-ed piece published in the New York Times on November 25, the Duchess of Sussex painfully evoked the loss of a child. Prompted by Prince Harry, the young mother had decided to break the silence, and gave a moving testimony.

“After I changed (my son’s) diaper, I felt a strong cramp. I let myself fall to the ground with him in my arms, humming a lullaby to keep us both calm, the joyful melody contrasting sharply with my feeling that something was wrong.

I knew, as I grabbed my firstborn, that I was losing my second,” she confided painfully. A speech that once again incited benevolence. “We have learned that when people ask how each of us is doing, and when they really listen to the answer, with an open heart and mind, the burden of grief often becomes lighter – for all of us,” she said. After this ordeal, she had the unconditional support of her mother Doria Ragland, but also of the British Royal Family, many of whom have already been the sad victims of miscarriages.
