Before their legendary scramble, William and Harry were doing all four hundred shots together, like one night in 2016, when they found themselves “completely drunk”.
It seems a long time ago that the time of frank laughter and public hugs between Princes William and Harry was long gone. Now separated by a continent, the two brothers are not about to be reconciled, much to the chagrin of Queen Elizabeth II.
However, long before the arrival of Meghan Markle and the ensuing media outburst, Princess Diana’s sons were bound together at all costs: in the worst of times, certainly, but also to make the four hundred moves together. This is what Harry and Meghan’s (authorized) biography on Sussex, written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, reveals.
As the two authors reveal, the two brothers always found time for fun, even after William’s marriage to Kate Middleton in 2011. According to one source, the Queen’s two grandsons liked to sneak out for a drink or a bite to eat at Mari Vanna, a Russian restaurant not far from Buckingham Palace, which provided the necessary privacy. The place, very private, has moreover seen some of William and Harry’s antics, like one evening in 2016, when they were both “completely drunk”, says an indiscreet voice.
Harry, “fallen into a bush”…
Harry, who was particularly ill, went out of the restaurant to smoke a cigarette when something happened to him. “He fell into a bush. Someone tried to take a picture with his cell phone, but Harry’s bodyguard jumped up to stop him,” recalls the source to Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand. “Harry barely noticed. He simply went to join William to continue drinking.” A joyful complicity that we hope to find soon.
