Since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, Meghan Markle has not been idle. The Duchess of Sussex has fought, in this particular context, to obtain funding to support a cause that is particularly close to her heart.
The crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic has delayed many projects in Europe and the United States. But it is without counting on the pugnacity of Meghan Markle, who never gives up in order to carry out her projects. Despite the health crisis, Prince Harry’s wife continued to work with the Mayhew association to find them funding to continue their activities. And this, in the greatest of secrets.
The London-based organization – which indicates on their website that they need additional funds – has indicated that the Duchess was in constant “contact” with them during the crisis and that she fought to help them financially. One of the association’s representatives told Newsweek that Meghan Markle has always been “passionate” about animals. She did everything she could to help the organization in her own way, which had to survive despite the cancellation of several fundraisers due to the pandemic. An epidemic that also resulted in a drop in donations.
One of her first partnerships
Note that since the Megxit, Meghan Markle, 38, has been allowed to maintain her partnerships with the organizations she supports. She chose Mayhew as one of her first sponsorships. She had visited their shelter in January 2019 and was introduced to Maggie, a one-year-old Jack Russell. A visit that resulted in the shelter being flooded with calls.
