It’s official: a new royal baby is about to arrive at the Windsor house. But the announcement of the second pregnancy of Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s wife, could well mark another step in the rupture between the couple and the royal family.

The arrival of the one who will occupy the 8th place in the order of succession to the British throne should mark a further step in the break operated by Meghan Markle and Harry with the royal family.

However, this would mark a point of no return with the Royal Family, as no great-grandchild of the Queen has been born outside the UK.

Distancing themselves from the royal family
Since their marriage in 2018, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have continued to distinguish themselves from the royal family.
