They wanted to change their life, they did it. After several weeks of reflection, Meghan Markle and Harry have made their decision: to move away from the royal family in order to live a more peaceful life. Despite a delicate breakup, the duke and duchess never regretted their choice. It is in California, in Los Angeles, that they decided to build their cocoon and they live there very happily with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
Following this announcement, tensions were born within the royal family of England. But not only: some Britons took the departure of Meghan Markle and Harry very to heart and did not hesitate to criticize them. On the other hand, others have sided with them … and their popularity has not been affected. The Duke and Duchess, already very popular in the days when they served the crown, are still popular.
Meghan Markle and Harry: why are they still so popular?
A year after Meghan Markle and Harry moved the English association Stem4, which mobilizes for mental health, launched a survey of 1,000 people aged 13 to 25 years to find out which members of the royal family of England they respected the most. Unsurprisingly, Queen Elizabeth II topped the poll with 25%. Harry came second (22%) followed closely by his wife (21%). Prince William and Kate Middleton did not make the top 3: they obtained 10 and 11%.
Why is there so much interest?
Dr.Nihara Krause, director of Stem4, explained in a statement the likely reasons why Meghan Markle and Harry were preferred to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. “To earn the respect of today’s youth, you don’t need to earn a fortune or look good.
