Harry and Meghan Markle at the coronation of Charles III? A real “headache”!

1

A month before the coronation, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have still not made known whether they would attend the ceremony in Westminster Abbey or not. A silence that causes tension for the teams of Buckingham Palace.

Yes or no? While preparations are intensifying, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have still not responded to the invitation. The deadline for a response, April 3, has passed, and it is still impossible to know if the Sussexes will deign to make the trip for the coronation of Charles III and Camilla on May 6. In one month, day for day, the historic event will take place and nothing should be left to chance. Not knowing if the exiles of Montecito will be there causes many tensions for the royal teams. “This issue is said to be causing a “headache” for the organizers, who are trying to sort out details such as seating, cars and security for the VIPs who will attend the historic ceremony on May 6,” reports the Daily Mail.

“Everything is still on hold and there is only a month left”, said a source at Buckingham Palace. In the meantime, everyone is busy finalizing plans for the 2,000 guests attending, many of whom are international heads of state and celebrities. In order to move forward, Buckingham Palace staff have been instructed to pretend that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are coming. But the task is still proving complicated. “It’s easy enough to change things like seating arrangements. But what poses the most problems is security, cars and other logistical issues” says a source.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: this requirement denied

One thing is certain, present or not at the coronation ceremony in Westminster Abbey, the couple from Sussex will not have a place on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Charles III was clear: this honor is reserved for active members of the royal family. In addition to the King and Queen Camilla, only 15 other members will be allowed to greet the crowd at their side, starting with Kate Middleton, Prince William and their three children. Exit Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Prince Andrew. The Sussexes had however asked to be present when they had made their small demands … Charles III has swept this request with a wave of the hand.
