Elizabeth II upset by Meghan Markle and her new business

0

Queen Elizabeth II has reason to be displeased. While Meghan Markle has just invested in a brand of instant lattes, her friends are promoting it using the crown emoji. An act contrary to the Queen’s agreement with Sussex.

Meghan Markle is embarking on a new adventure and she has, in spite of herself, provoked the wrath of Elizabeth II. Indeed, by resigning from their royal duties, the Sussex have decided to be financially independent, and to do so, they want to invest in a few businesses.

After having signed a juicy contract with the Netflix platform, which allowed them to pay off the work of Frogmore Cottage and to buy a house in California, Meghan and Harry will have a new income.

The mother of the adorable Archie has invested in Clevr Blends, a startup that makes instant oat milk lattes. To promote her brand, she sent a few filled baskets to relatives like Oprah Winfrey, who took over her Instagram account to tell her subscribers all about it. “This Christmas, my neighbor “M” sent me a basket full of treats. (Yes, that M👑),” she noted. It was the little wreath, added by the famous hostess, that made the palate jump.

An agreement with the queen that was not respected

By resigning from their royal duties, Meghan and Harry wished to distance themselves from the royal family. The 94-year-old monarch, however, had asked that they not use their titles or the Crown’s image to do business. The couple agreed. Of course, this crown emoji integrated by Oprah Winfrey in its publication has no more at the palace. A royal source told the Mirror: “This emoji refers to royal relations and therefore does not respect the values of the royal family.” A post that will rekindle tensions?
