We finally know who’s going to replace Meghan Markle and Harry on the royal stage

1

On leaving the royal family, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry relinquished their duties and responsibilities. In order to fill the void they left, a couple from the monarchy is preparing to replace them.

Living away from the shackles of the monarchy, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dreamed of it. Another couple, on the other hand, would like to become one of its pillars. Sophie of Wessex and Prince Edward would like to feel more important.

Why not replace them? According to the revelations of royal expert Angela Levin, in an interview with our colleagues from The Express on Saturday 16 January, their wish could come true. While Queen Elizabeth’s last child and his wife would feel “left out”, they would have multiplied their efforts since the Megxit to obtain more important responsibilities.

In the aftermath, the journalist was full of praise for the woman who has recently made history. “The countess is of course an incredibly hard worker, very good with people,” she observed. Before specifying that Queen Elizabeth II “adores her”.

It must be said that Sophie of Wessex and Prince Edward would go to great lengths to win the confidence and heart of the monarch. In addition to living “very close (to her) in Windsor”, they “often went to church on the Sunday before confinement”.

Icing on the cake, the Countess of Wessex and her mother-in-law would now share the same passion: horseback riding. “She learned to ride a horse so she could do it with Her Majesty,” Angela Levin told the newspaper.

He dared

However, Sophie de Wessex and Prince Edward, married since 1999, would not always have been exemplary. A misstep could have brought them the wrath of Queen Elizabeth II. As we revealed to you in September 2020, Andrew’s brother Andrew of York, Anne of the United Kingdom and Charles of Wales had not hesitated to break protocol at the announcement of his engagement to the woman who would later become the mother of his two children.

We have to go back to 6 January 1999. At Saint James’s Palace in London, the son of Queen Elizabeth II publicly announced the happy news: after six years of love, he was about to marry Sophie Rhys-Jones. In a burst of love and excitement, the groom kisses the woman he loves.

Strict protocol forbids gestures of affection from members of the British royal family. As royal expert Richard Kay explained to The Express, this was “a first” for a royal couple.

  1. I have alot of respect for Harry and Meghan. It took a lot of courage to face mental health issues and the pain of losing Dianna. I wish them the best of luck and blessings in the charity pursuits that they now help with. They are an example of courage.
