Royal Sussex finish! Meghan Markle and Harry unveil the new name of their foundation

0

After the Queen banned them from using the name “Sussex Royal” for their business activities, Meghan Markle and Harry had to change the name of their foundation. It is now called the MWX Foundation, for The Markle Windsor Foundation. It’s that simple.

The last few months have been a difficult time for Sussex. After the famous Megxit on March 31, Meghan Markle and Harry spent their confinement in Santa Barbara, and since then, between the lawsuit opposing the Duchess of Sussex to the Associated Newspaper group (publisher of the DailyMail in particular), the celebrations of her 39th birthday, and the development of their various projects (notably Hollywood), the couple has not stopped. But one thing became paramount above all: changing the name of their foundation, after the Queen had forbidden them to use “Sussex Royal”.

The DailyMail tells us that it is now done! Byebye “Sussex Royal Foundation”, welcome “The Markle Windsor Foundation”, and more specifically the MWX Foundation.

It was on August 5th that the Sussex couple’s lawyers filed a name change and it is now official. It should be recalled that after their departure from the monarchy on March 31, the Queen had forbidden them to use the word “Royal” for their commercial activities. As a final thumbs up to the Queen’s decision, the couple therefore chose to highlight their own surnames, and thus make a big wink at the Crown of Windsor.

This is not the first time Meghan and Harry have used their new “MWX” brand, since a few weeks ago they created MWX Trading Ltd. by appointing Sussex lawyer Gerrard Tyrrell to its management.

His first task was to register the trademark so that they could use and market it. So while the Sussex have changed the name of their foundation and started to clean up the names of their various sectors, their Instagram page is still called Royal Sussex, and the Queen should not particularly appreciate this.
