Meghan Markle: Her fetish jewelry

Meghan Markle is a real jewelry geek. From the most luxurious pieces to contemporary and affordable creations, the Duchess never goes out without her accessories. Back in photos on her favorite pieces.

Between Meghan Markle and jewelry, it’s a true love story. The Duchess loves jewellery pieces and attaches a real sentimental value to them. In 2015, she tells the Canadian version of Hello magazine how she was eager to treat herself to a Cartier watch – the famous Tank model in white and yellow gold – to celebrate the renewal of the Suits series.

Nothing of an actress’s whim, but more the sign of a success. To signify this, she had “de M.M. pour M.M.” engraved on the back “de M.M. pour M.M.” “I plan to give it to my daughter one day,” she explained, far from imagining what life was going to bring her. But the proof is there: Meghan gives her jewellery a real symbolic meaning.

Her Prince Charming seems to have understood this, as evidenced by the engagement ring, a jeweler’s masterpiece as precious as it is full of symbols. The gold is Welsh, a gift from the Queen herself. The central diamond comes from Botswana, the land of their first emotions. The other two come from Princess Diana’s collection. A jewel that tells a story, their story.

Meghan Markle: between classicism and modernity

But the young woman doesn’t need a display of big stones to get her messages across: when she introduces her son Archie to the kingdom, it’s the three little stones in her Jennifer Meyer necklace that are the wink to her little family. During her pregnancy, it was a Pascale Monvoisin necklace, an onyx shell set with a small diamond, which served as a real grigri: she never left it.

That’s Meghan Markle’s signature: alternating between classicism and more modern pieces. Whether she gives pride of place to her love of white gold and large diamonds or prefers the simplicity of more contemporary forms, she gives free rein to her love of jewellery.

A passion that delights designers. An appearance on Meghan and success is guaranteed! “Everywhere, my brand was mentioned,” recalls designer Vanessa Tugendhaft, whose duchess wore the jewels on her first outing as a married woman. It was incredible! Within ten minutes, my e-shop was out of stock with a waiting list of three to six weeks for the earrings. “It was enough to spur us on to look at the Duchess of Sussex’s favourite pieces: back in pictures!
