This Saturday, September 11, Meghan Markle and Harry paid tribute to the victims of September 11, 2001 via the website of their foundation.

This Saturday, September 11, events are taking place around the world to mark the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks perpetrated in the United States in 2001. In their own way, Meghan Markle and Harry paid tribute to the 2,977 people who died in the four simultaneous attacks carried out by Al Qaeda. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have changed the homepage of their charitable foundation’s website called Archewell, as reported by The Mirror.

Thus, Internet users visiting the website Archewell.com can now see a single page, marked with a black background and white writing. The inscriptions “In Memory” and “September 11, 2011” appear in capital letters at the top of the page. On the rest of the page, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry wanted all the names of the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks to be listed and divided into four columns.

The Queen’s tribute to the victims

Meghan Markle and Harry were not the only members of the British royal family to salute the memory of those who died as a result of this tragedy. On the royal family’s Instagram account, Queen Elizabeth spoke out this Saturday, September 11. “My thoughts and prayers, along with those of my family and the entire nation, are with the victims, survivors and affected families, as well as the first responders and rescue workers called to respond,” she wrote in a text accompanied by a photo recalling her visit to the World Trade Center site in 2010. Among the 2,977 victims of the deadliest terrorist attacks in history were 67 Britons.
