In the event that the revelations made in Prince Harry’s memoir are proven false, royal aides are reportedly ready to sue the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, as a source tells The Sun magazine.

“I can’t wait for people to read an account of my life that is accurate and completely truthful,” Prince Harry announced about his memoirs. Although the publication of his biography is only planned for the year 2022, the latter does not cease to spill ink. With the help of journalist and best-selling author JR Moehringer, the Duke of Sussex is about to take up the pen to make explosive revelations about his “adventures, losses and life lessons” within the royal family.

However, the sincerity of his writings is already being questioned. Royal aides are reportedly ready to take legal action against Prince Charles’ son if his next statements are “inaccurate,” a close source told the Mail Online. “Harry and Meghan’s former staffers are convinced that this book is written to settle scores,” says this royal insider. Some of these former workers simply don’t believe that a full and accurate picture of her life within the royal family will be presented.”

After the shocking revelations made to Oprah Winfrey, royal aides have some doubts about Prince Harry’s ability to transcribe the truth as he feels a “growing fury” against his family. Therefore, Buckingham’s assistants have already considered “the steps they could take to protect their own reputation and that of the monarchy after the publication”, as revealed by The Sun. Legal action could indeed be taken if the book “unfairly smears any member of staff”. If the writing of this biography has allowed him to get a nice check, it could nevertheless cost the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II.

An angry staff

While relations are strained with members of his family, they also seem to be between the thirty-year-old prince and the royal staff. On Wednesday, March 3, three employees of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex accused the couple of “totally unacceptable” and “humiliating” behavior. According to the Times, Meghan Markle would have been “cruel” to her staff. Lawyers for the American actress quickly went to the front to denounce these attacks as a way to “peddle a totally false narrative.”

On the day of the accusations made by the former Kensington Palace staff, a spokesperson for Meghan Markle had come to her defense: “The Duchess is saddened by this latest personal attack, especially as she herself has been a victim of bullying and is deeply committed to supporting those who have suffered pain and trauma,” he said before denouncing a “calculated smear campaign based on misleading and damaging misinformation. In response to these allegations, Buckingham Palace decided to launch an investigation, funded by Her Majesty himself. It remains to be seen who will have the last word in this umpteenth scandal.
