Meghan Markle and Harry: This embarrassing pool to help them pay their mortgage

0

According to the Mirror site, one of the Sussex residents has started a kitty to help the couple pay off their “£6.8 million mortgage.”

A few days after the Sussexes’ shock interview with Oprah Winfrey, Anastasia Hanson, a resident, living 25 minutes away from the royal couple’s mansion, launched a participatory pledge intended to pay off the mortgage Meghan Markle and Prince Harry took out in order to afford their luxurious California property after the royal family decided to “cut them off.” Called “Donate $5 to Harry and Meghan to buy a £3.61 house,” the crowdfunding campaign aims to “help the Sussexes, who are worth millions, and who are going through a very difficult time,” reports the Mirror website.

On the page hosted by the GoFundMe platform, the 56-year-old neighbor seriously called on the public to make “a cash donation to help the royal couple pay off their £6.8 million mortgage,” or almost 10 million euros. This do-gooder 2.0 was hoping to reach 7.1 million pounds (about $10 million) but the fund was quickly closed after she raised only 80 pounds. Still according to the site, this idea to help the royal couple would have come about when Archie’s parents told Oprah Winfrey that they were no longer financially supported by the British royal family since the effective implementation of Megxit. “We live off the money my mother left me. Without it, we would not have been able to leave,” Prince Harry told the star presenter.

The couple that was worth $100 million

But let Anastasia be reassured. Since leaving their positions at “The Firm” and relinquishing their royal titles, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have lacked for nothing. According to a recent paper in the Times, the couple would now be at the head of a fortune of over 116 million euros. And this amount is growing. The reasons? The value of their luxurious mansion would have tripled, going from 10 to 30 million since their purchase nine months ago. In addition, the couple has also signed several huge contracts, including with Netflix and Spotify. No doubt that the financial security of the whole family is assured!
