Meghan Markle and Harry: The date of their return to the UK unveiled?

Now settled in Los Angeles, Meghan Markle and Harry could make a surprise appearance in England just before the summer.

Since they announced their choice to settle on the other side of the Atlantic, Meghan Markle and Harry have only rarely returned to British soil. This follows the arrival of the Covid-19 all over the world, and the quarantine in several countries that limits travel.

However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may soon make their grand return. Indeed, if the health situation calms down – and allows for gatherings and events to take place again – they are expected to travel to London on 12 June to celebrate the 95th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II.

Queen Elizabeth II has celebrated this event twice since the beginning of her reign: once in April (her birthday on 21 April) and a second time in June at the famous Trooping the Colour parade.

The latter had to be cancelled last year due to the pandemic, and she hopes the event can be held in six months time as she wants to “get back on track”, a source said. During the event, family members could gather on the mythical Buckingham balcony: it will be the first time they have gathered since the Megxit.

Meghan Markle and the royal family always in touch

Despite their move to Los Angeles, Archie’s parents have been getting closer and closer ever since, and are keen to keep in touch with their family members. According to Entertainment Tonight’s information, they have kept in touch with them despite the distance.

In fact, it is thanks to the Zoom application, which allows several calls via videoconference, that the family is able to get together to catch up. Tensions are now a thing of the past, because “everyone is in better conditions and has been for some time”. Indeed, relations have improved: “Covid-19 has brought everyone closer together”.
