Its meaning is explained just below. Forbidden to use the brand Sussex Royal by Queen Elizabeth II, Meghan and Harry chose the name Archewell. A wink obviously to their son Archie. But as the new site explains, it is also a combination of the words “Arch” which in ancient Greek means “source of action” and “well”, “an inexhaustible supply or source; a place from which one can draw”.
A very mysterious foundation
But it is another detail that particularly catches the eye, and intrigues, on this minimalist homepage. Meghan and Harry give users the opportunity to subscribe to a mailing list. And this registration is a condition for being able to find out about Archewell’s projects and activities. A culture of the strangest secrecy for an organization that wants to be charitable.

We want to do something about it, something that matters,” they said, before adding, “Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action with another that evokes the deep resources we all need to draw upon. We look forward to launching Archewell when the time is right.
So, it is very soon that this charitable organization will see the light of day. Its goal? Training and education through documentaries, podcasts and books. The couple also wants to develop a volunteer network and a website. In the meantime, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who have taken refuge in their second home in Los Angeles, intend to enjoy, as much as they can, the precious moments they share with their son.
Meanwhile, other members of the royal family remain confined to their respective estates in the United Kingdom.
