Bye Bye the Fabfour Elizabeth II counts on 7 people to save the monarchy

The number seven will certainly bring him luck. After the final departure of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from the Firm, Her Majesty Elizabeth II relies on other members of her clan to restore the image of the monarchy.

Her Majesty Elizabeth II reshuffles her cards. While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry informed her of their decision to relinquish their status as senior members of the Royal Family on Friday, February 19, the 94-year-old monarch is now setting her sights on seven other crowned heads who now have the task of restoring the Crown.

Prince William and Kate Middleton, who have been in conflict with Sussex for many months, are, of course, the ideal representatives in the eyes of His Royal Highness as the future King and Queen of England. The former half of the “Fab Four”, a distant memory despite vague hopes of its rebirth, is accompanied by Prince Charles, first in the order of succession to the throne of England, and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles.

Then come Prince Edward and the Countess Sophie de Wessex, Meghan Markle’s ex-mentor, who has positioned herself as the Firm’s new asset since the ex-actress’s departure for the other side of the Atlantic. The last face is certainly the most surprising.

If she occupies the fifteenth place in the order of succession, behind her three brothers and their respective children, Princess Anne is the last member of this “Fab Seven”, as it is already nicknamed by the Anglo-Saxon press, and will take on more commitments, according to the German magazine Bunte and the British tabloid The Daily Mail.

A challenge for the one who has, until now, been overshadowed by the other members of the Windsor-Mountbatten clan. Invited to retire from public life, Prince Andrew has, unsurprisingly, been excluded from the plans of Her Majesty Elizabeth II.

A united front

She has been relying on them since December 2020. Indeed, on December 8, Her Majesty Elizabeth II presented the new faces of the monarchy from the steps of Windsor Castle, where it has been confined for several months. In front of the photographers, Prince Edward, Sophie of Wessex, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and the former cavalier posed while respecting social distancing (due to the coronavirus pandemic) and surrounding the Queen.

A small circle on which she can now lean while Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue their much decried retraining in the United States and while Prince Philip, treated for an “infection” at the age of 99, has been hospitalized for several days.
