After having made some explosive revelations during his interview with the formidable Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry creates once again the surprise by revealing the writing of his memoirs. It will be an “intimate and heartfelt book by one of the most fascinating and influential global personalities of our time”, as presented by the publishing house Penguin Random House.
Through the pages of his book, Meghan Markle’s husband does not want to talk about himself as a prince, but rather on behalf of the man he has become over the years. “I’ve worn many hats over the years, literally and figuratively, and I hope that by telling my story I can show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we could have imagined,” he says in a statement relayed by Chris Ship, royal reporter for ITV News.
In these memoirs, the father of Archie and Lilibeth Diana wants to return to his “adventures, his losses and his lessons of life”. If his relations are somewhat strained with some members of the British royal family, especially with his brother Prince William, the project of his memoirs will not improve things. Indeed, the Duke of Sussex wants to show himself without filters as he writes.
“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I have learned in my life so far and I look forward to people reading an account of my life that is accurate and completely truthful.” This time, the son of Prince Charles and Lady Diana is more forgiving of his family. Indeed, the Windsors have time to prepare. Harry’s new confidences will not be released until 2022.
