Prince Harry will not be attending the Remembrance Ceremony with other members of the Royal Family this November. A painful consequence of the Megxit for one who had served his country proudly as a soldier.
From the Queen’s favourite grandson, he becomes the fallen grandson. By choosing to withdraw from the British Royal Family with his wife Meghan Markle, did Prince Harry have any idea of the consequences that such a decision would have? As our colleagues in The Mirror report, he will not be attending next month’s remembrance ceremony, an event that takes place before the November 11th celebrations.
As he is no longer an active member of the royal family, Prince Harry is not expected to attend the event. Yet another blow for the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II. The one who trained at the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst and then served his country in Afghanistan is therefore asked to stay at home in the United States.
This year, Prince Charles, Princess Anne and Prince William will lay poppy wreaths alongside veterans as is customary. Prince Harry will have to be content to live the ceremony from his television set. Following the unfortunate Megxit, the Duke of Sussex was forced to give up his military titles and in particular that of Captain General of the Royal Marines.
A heartbreak for the young man who had found solace in the army, and so much appreciated his spirit of comradeship and his simplicity far from the warmthless exchanges of palaces. Titles for the time being suspended and not yet withdrawn. A decision should be taken next March on this matter. Princess Anne and Prince William could be the new beneficiaries.

A lively 2019 ceremony
The Queen will attend a “closed-door” service and then watch from a balcony of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, accompanied by Camilla Parker-Bowles and Kate Middleton. In 2019, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had attended what would be their last ceremony, and tensions between the Fab Four were already palpable.
Arriving separately, the Duchess of Sussex, in a total black look, alone on her balcony with only comrade Sophie de Wessex, and the Duchess of Cambridge had not looked at each other. Tensions that the royal family intends to avoid this year.
