Prince Harry has pulled out his claws and it pays off: 1st battle won in defamation

0

Even if he does not yet cry victory, Prince Harry can consider himself lucky. After having put out his claws against a media outlet for defamation, the latter admitted his wrongs and apologized!

Little affected by the rumors that concern him, Prince Harry pulled out his claws on October 26th. According to revelations in the Mail on Sunday, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II would no longer give importance to the British armed forces since the announcement of the Megxit and therefore of his new life. Angry at these rumors, which he strongly denied, he decided to send a legal warning to the newspaper, suing it for defamation.

Prince Harry did not let it go and won the case. Indeed, the DailyMail confirmed the claims of the principal interested party by acknowledging that the article “was false” and that he wanted to apologize for the moral damage.

Chris Ship, a journalist specializing in British royalty, announced the news on his Twitter account. Sharing the DailyMail release, he accompanied his post with the following caption: “The DailyMail apologizes to Prince Harry for his article claiming that he had turned his back on the Royal Marines (Harry was given the honorary role of Captain General by his grandfather). The Mail admits it was untrue and made a donation to the Invictus Games.”

“The Mail admits it was false “

After winning this battle, Meghan Markle’s husband is planning to win the war against the media and is not giving up his lawsuit against the DailyMail. The journalist added on Twitter: “Despite the Mail’s correction, the lawsuit that Prince Harry brought against the newspaper for this story continues. There will probably be a court hearing in the New Year.” So the case is to be followed, but Archie’s father can already be satisfied.
