Indeed, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently in the Netherlands for the Invictus Games. They made a surprise visit to the Queen before embarking on the Netherlands. Although they plan to return by the end of the week, the chances of them making the trip to the UK are very slim. Note that it has been two years since Meghan Markle, 40, had come to Europe. As for Prince Harry, he made an express trip to the country for the funeral of Prince Philip in April 2021. Then he made another trip to unveil a statue of his mother in Kensington last July.
The only public event allowed in Sussex
The parents of little Archie and Lilibet will certainly not be present in the balcony for the event, says Royal Stories. It is not only the distance that separates the United States from England that may pose a problem. Indeed, “this appearance is the only public event to which the couple could be invited, since it is no longer an effective member of the royal family,” says the media.
