Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away on Friday, September 18, at the age of 87. Deeply touched by her passing, Meghan Markle wrote a message in tribute to the Democratic Supreme Court Justice.

This Friday, September 18, Democratic Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away at the age of 87. The woman who was nicknamed “RBG” gave her last breath after a long battle against pancreatic cancer.

With 45 days to go before the US presidential election, Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death is far from inconsequential. Her absence means that there is now a free seat on the Supreme Court. The stakes are high for the future of the United States, especially since the Republicans, who have a majority in the Senate, are determined to appoint her successor.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a true pioneer in defending the cause of women, minorities and the environment, and an icon of democracy in the United States. During her 27 years on the Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg always fought for civil rights, especially women’s rights.

Her passing has affected millions of people around the world, including Meghan Markle, who is also a committed woman, particularly in the feminist, anti-racist and environmental causes. The Duchess of Sussex has justly made a point of saying a few touching words in tribute to the Democratic judge.

A real inspiration for Meghan Markle

As Omid Scobie reports on his Twitter account, Prince Harry’s wife wrote: “With an incomparable and indelible legacy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg will always be recognized as a brilliant woman of justice and courage, and a human being of deep conviction.

She has been a real inspiration to me since I was a little girl. Let us honor her, remember her and act for her.” Prince Harry’s wife was not the only one to express her condolences. On her Instagram account, Laeticia Hallyday also wanted to pay tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsburg, by sharing in her story a photo and then a drawing of her.

Two images accompanied by the quote: “Fight for the things that interest you, but act in such a way as to bring others to join you”.
