After Spotify, it was Netflix that had approached the former actress and Prince Harry a few months after their departure from the royal family and their move to Los Angeles, in order to produce programs on causes that are close to their hearts. And among them, the emancipation of young girls.

Indeed, for several years, and long before her entry into the British royal family, Meghan Markle has taken part in forums and conferences for entrepreneurship and the emancipation of women and girls around the world, she who has never hidden her feminist views.

So what could be more normal for her than her brand new project? As she revealed on the website of her foundation Archewell, the Duchess of Sussex has been appointed producer of an animated series aimed at pushing young girls to emancipate themselves, inspired by female characters who have marked history. “Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is seeking to discover herself as she attempts to meet the challenges of everyday life,” announced the foundation’s release.

What will the series produced by Meghan Markle be called?

For the moment, no title has been officially revealed for this production that should see the light of day on Netflix, although on Instagram, Meghan Markle that this one was for the moment named Pearl, a name still under consideration. A project that the Duchess does not carry alone, however, since she surrounded herself with big names in production as David Furnish, the husband of Elton John that she knows well and had been invited to her wedding, Carolyn Soper, Liz Garbus, Dan Cogan and Amanda Rynda.
