While the interview of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in front of Oprah Winfrey is debated, Joe Biden has made his voice heard. The current president of the United States welcomed this speech, being much less vehement than his predecessor Donald Trump with the Duchess of Sussex.
After their explosive interview on CBS this Sunday, March 7, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are at the heart of all discussions. Campaign of denigration, suspicion of racism, suicidal thoughts, a public unpacking that has not frankly made the unanimity. If the family of the Duchess of Sussex or the journalist Piers Morgan have expressed their disapproval, several celebrities have openly displayed their support. The singer Beyoncé, or the former First Lady Hillary Clinton have praised the courage of Meghan Markle. The White House also congratulated the Duchess of Sussex, as reported by The Express.
Joe Biden’s press secretary praised the Sussexes, thanking the couple for opening up about their experiences with mental health. “For someone to come forward and talk about their own struggles on the issue of mental health and tell their personal story, that takes courage and that’s certainly something the president believes in,” Jen Psaki said. While the White House commended the couple for coming forward, they declined to comment in detail on the interview.

A strong support that should be appreciated by Meghan Markle while her relationship with Donald Trump was more than tense. The former president of the United States has never hidden his opposition to the ex-actress. “I’m not a fan of his” had made known the businessman in September 2019, when the exiled couple in the United States had called on Americans to go to the polls, adding ironically “good luck” to Prince Harry, “because he’s going to need it.”
