Kate Middleton and Prince William will celebrate their nine-year wedding anniversary this Wednesday, April 29th. Before saying “Yes, I do” to her prince, the bride-to-be had asked a favor of her father, to whom she is very close.

This Wednesday, April 29th, Kate Middleton and Prince William will celebrate their nine-year wedding anniversary. Almost ten years later, revelations continue to rain down on this great day, considered as the “wedding of the century”. Before saying “yes” to William on April 29, 2011, Kate Middleton had a very moving tête-à-tête with her father, who led her to his dear and beloved. She had asked him for a favour: not to cry as she walked to the altar on his arm, as revealed in an article written by royalty writer Katie Nicholl in Vanity Fair.

Kate Middleton is very close to her parents Michael (whose Prince Louis looks just like him) and Carole. Thus, seeing her father break into tears would have moved the bride-to-be very much, and she certainly didn’t want to let her pretty make-up sink in. In the end, she had managed to channel her emotion throughout the ceremony. “She had only managed to eat one bite of bread that morning and had been up for six hours, but Kate didn’t let her emotion get the better of her once,” added Katie Nicholl.

PIPPA MIDDLETON, THE OTHER STAR OF THE DAY

On that day, all eyes were also on Pippa Middleton, Kate Middleton’s younger sister who was unknown to the general public until the media photographed her in front of Westminster Abbey in her white gown, sublimating her buttocks. Legend has it that the dress was padded. But it was indeed Kate Middleton that Prince William’s attention was focused on. Indeed, he had said to her, “you are beautiful”, when he discovered her in her wedding dress signed Alexander McQueen.
