Frosty Kate Middleton facing Harry and Meghan at Westminster: Elizabeth II’s fault?

0

On Monday, March 9, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry joined Kate Middleton and Prince William at Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Commemorations. As announced, the reunion between the two couples was somewhat tense. During the ceremony, the Duchess of Cambridge appeared very cold indeed. But then, for what reason?

These are gestures that don’t deceive. On Monday, March 9, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were making their final commitment as members of the royal family. To say the least, their welcome to Westminster Abbey was not the warmest.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as they entered this sacred place for Commonwealth commemorations, pretended to ignore Sussex. Meghan Markle, who attempted a subtle approach with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, with a slight smile on her face, had no response to her gesture.

While Prince William seemed a bit relaxed, Kate Middleton remained impassive. And for good reason, she probably found it hard to digest the fact that, like the Sussex couple, she was not part of the royal procession.

As the Daily Mail reported, Prince William and his wife did not want to “upset” Sussex any further, as the Queen had already put it aside and placed it on a different rank from that occupied by Prince Charles, Camilla, Kate, William, and Queen Elizabeth II.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, like Kate Middleton and Prince William, were, for the past two years, part of the royal procession through Westminster Abbey on Commonwealth Day, as were Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Elizabeth II controls everything, right down to the last detail.

Heading alone to their appointed seats, the Cambridge’s were on par with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. Yet they are not the ones who have recently experienced some tension with Queen Elizabeth II.

Nor were the Cambridge family the ones who chose to relinquish their royal duties and move to Canada to live away from Her Majesty… But in doing so, it is possible that the sovereign used a well-honed ploy to protect her family members. That’s right. By bringing the Sussexes in before the Cambridge’s, Elizabeth II also anticipated the photos that would betray a certain stiffness on the part of the two couples.

As they arrived in turn, each one made a good face in front of the photographers present to immortalize their entry and, for a few seconds, swept away the tensions…
