“You won’t believe what Meghan Markle did to the Royal Family – their revenge will be unforgettable!”

While she will be absent in London on 6 May for the coronation of King Charles III, Meghan Markle is distancing herself a little more from the royal family, which is likely to make her pay for this affront, as reported by the British tabloid “The Mirror”.

After weeks of doubt and speculation, the news came down on 12 April: Meghan Markle will not be present at the coronation of King Charles III on 6 May in London. Prince Harry will travel alone, while his wife will remain in California with their children. This decision has far-reaching consequences and distances the former actress even further from the royal family, with whom relations were already strained.

If little Archie’s fourth birthday, which falls on the same day as the coronation, seems to have served as an excuse for the Duchess of Sussex not to take part in the royal festivities, this choice, which many consider as an affront, does not fail to cause some chatter. As The Mirror reports, some royal pundits even suggest that revenge promises to be terrible from Buckingham: “This seems to mark Meghan’s complete estrangement from her husband’s family as well as her own, with the sole exception of her mother, Doria,” commented Daily Mail editor Richard Eden, among others, before adding, “I can say with some confidence that Meghan will not be missed by the royal family.”

Charles III disappointed by Meghan Markle’s absence from his coronation

According to royal expert and author Robert Jobson, it now appears increasingly difficult to imagine when Meghan Markle might return to the UK for a future royal event. While he is pleased that Harry has accepted the invitation, and that he “will be there to support his father”, he says we are unlikely to see Archie and Lilibet’s mum back in Britain any time soon: “The fact that his wife is not attending means that it is now highly unlikely that we will see her attend any official event or the Palace again.

For his part, King Charles III is said to be particularly pleased to have his son’s presence but disappointed to be deprived of that of his daughter-in-law and grandchildren: “It’s sad, he’s very disappointed not to see Meghan or his grandchildren, but understands the situation,” a source told The Sun.

  1. I, as a parent, understand why King Charles wants his son, Harry to be at his Coronation, and I am glad Meghan won’t be there. There will be enough press coverage with H there, which no one wants or needs. I realize H is a blood Royal, however, I believe M’s title should be removed immediately! She will not return to England as she’s a coward and will not even support her husband as he faces the RF.
