This Monday, September 5, Meghan Markle gave a speech at the One Young World Summit, an event that brought together young leaders in Manchester (England). A much commented intervention, where the Duchess of Sussex launched to her audience: “You are the future.”

This Monday, September 5, Meghan Markle spoke at a British event held in Manchester for the first time since the Megxit. The Sussexes attended the One Young World Summit, an event that brings together young leaders from around the world. At the podium, the Duchess said to the audience: “You are the future. And I would like to add to this, that you are also the present. You are the ones who are bringing about the positive and necessary change on this planet.” She recalled her first visit to in 2014, where she felt so honored to be invited that she “kept the card with her name on it indicating her place.”

Evoking her past, Meghan Markle confided her attachment to this summit that knew how to detect in her what she wanted to become when “she was the actress of Suits”. A very commented speech, which seduced many. “A wonderful speech, I’m impressed that she did not look at her notes”, “the most eloquent member of the royal family” say her fans on Twitter. Some, however, point out that “she is no longer an active member of the Windsor clan”. “What a joke,” offended another.

Meghan Markle, transformed by her maternity

The Duchess of Sussex also talked about her motherhood. She says that the births of Archie and Lilibet have “exponentially expanded her vision of the world”. A speech, which was also an opportunity for Meghan Markle to declare her love for Harry. Referring to her wedding several times, she insisted on her “joy of being present with her husband” this time. Prince Harry and his wife, who are trying to find their influential role outside the Windsor clan, are making one public appearance after another this week. In Germany this Tuesday, September 6 for The Invictus Games One Year To Go, they will then go to London for the WellChild Awards.
