This Sunday 30 April, the Australian channel Channel 7 broadcast an interview with Meghan Markle’s family during which they were unfiltered. During the discussion, Samantha Markle did not hesitate to reveal the reason for the Duchess’ separation from them.
It’s time for the Duchess of Sussex to reveal more. After the publication of Prince Harry’s memoirs and his various television interviews, it is now the turn of his family to answer journalists’ questions. In a programme broadcast on the Australian channel Channel 7, the Markle family made numerous revelations about themselves and did not hesitate to deliver unpublished photos of Meghan Markle before her marriage to the Prince. While her father has called for a reconciliation with his daughter, Samantha took the opportunity to reveal the reasons for their separation, which is not new.
Speaking to Taylor Auerbach on Channel 7 Spotlight, Meghan Markle’s half-sister said she knew the reasons for her estrangement from her family. Indeed, for years the Duchess of Sussex’s relationship with her family members, notably Samantha, her father Thomas Markle and her brother Thomas Jr, has been very strained. Samantha Markle explains that the first reason is that her family could not live up to the royal family. According to her half-sister, Meghan has distanced herself from her family on her father’s side since things got serious with Prince Harry in 2018.
They’re really unhealthy for each other
But according to Samantha Markle that’s not the only reason. “What she said to the royal family, what she said to Harry wouldn’t have stuck, wouldn’t have been consistent with the truth,” the Duchess of Sussex’s half-sister said, insinuating that Meghan Markle would lie to the royal family about rather personal matters that would concern her family on her father’s side. Samantha Markle also gave her strong opinion about her half-sister’s relationship with Prince Harry, saying they “are really unhealthy for each other, [that] it’s a toxic relationship”. For the moment, neither Meghan Markle nor the royal family has reacted to the revelatory interview.
