Princess Eugenie Mummy: What she has in common with Meghan Markle

0

On Tuesday 9 February Princess Eugenie gave birth to her first child. Like Meghan Markle before her, Sarah Ferguson’s daughter gave birth to a baby boy. But this is not the only thing she has in common with the Duchess of Sussex…

The royal family has grown! On Tuesday 9 February, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their first child. The daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew gave birth to a baby boy, born at Portland Hospital in London.

A place that is not unknown to the British Crown, as it was there that little Archie, son of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, was born on May 6, 2019,” said Hello! on the occasion of the birth of Eugenie of York. In addition to having both had a boy as their first child, Princess Beatrice’s sister Beatrice and Meghan Markle chose the same hospital for the birth. It was also at this hospital that Sarah Ferguson gave birth to her two daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, in 1988 and 1990.

According to our sources, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have “privately congratulated the couple” on this happy event, which naturally delighted the whole family, even though this child will not have a royal title. The two couples, who married in the same place and spent several holidays together, have always had a close bond.

In 2016, Princess Eugenie, her cousin’s confidante, was one of the first to learn of the romance between William’s brother and the former American actress. Before the arrival of their baby, Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank had the opportunity to go to Frogmore Cottage, the former home of the Sussex couple, which was graciously loaned to them.

Princess Eugenie, a trusted person for Harry

“Eugenie has always been more than a cousin of Harry. They were also his closest friends”. Fused since their childhood, it is not rare to find old photos of official events where the duo is particularly complicit. “Harry has always confided in her about the women in his life because he trusts her and because she gives good advice,” the authors report. The arrival of the baby of Eugenie of York, the Queen’s favourite granddaughter, could therefore allow a reconciliation, or at least a rapprochement, between the Sussex couple and the British Crown. Better late than never…
