The Duke of Sussex set sail for the United States with his wife Meghan Markle and their son, Archie, for a life away from the spotlight. A new daily life that is gradually taking root in the imagination of the British people. For Prince Harry has passed a milestone in his life: he has now passed the 265-day mark outside British territory. Prince Harry had previously spent 262 days in Africa and Australia in 2005.
In March 2020, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry relinquished their senior memberships in the British Royal Family to embark on a new life on the other side of the Atlantic, far away from Buckingham Palace. And while it took everyone some time to digest this somewhat unprecedented decision within the monarchy, for the Duchess of Sussex it was undoubtedly the “best decision” to make.
A newfound freedom
