Prince Harry makes amusing revelations about his son Archie

During an interview for American television during the Invictus Games, Prince Harry opened up about his relationship with Queen Elizabeth II and gave some details about his family life. Notably on the character of his son, Archie.

Some character traits are passed on from father to son. And it seems that in the Sussex family, it is the impertinence. While in the Netherlands to attend the Invictus Games, the annual sports competition he created in 2014, Prince Harry gave an interview to Today, a program broadcast on American television, on April 20. Among other things, Meghan Markle’s husband makes some confidences about the character of his oldest son, Archie, who will celebrate his third birthday on May 6, 2022. “Archie spends more time interrupting our Zoom calls than anyone. But he also allows us to get out of it, so it’s a good thing,” reveals with amusement the younger brother of Prince William. His interlocutor then asks him if his son has inherited his father’s rebellious and carefree side. “I think so and I try to preserve it because I think that cheekiness is something that keeps you going. There are so many things to be happy about in this world but there are also so many things to be worried about…” confided Prince Harry with emotion.

Like every parent couple since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have to deal with their children while working. Which the prince also talked about during his interview. “When you and your children are in the same place, it’s really hard to separate work from them because it all overlaps,” stressed the man who has been working on many projects with his wife since they regained their independence and moved to the United States in early 2020.

Eased relations with the British Royal family

This interview was also an opportunity for the grandson of Elizabeth II to talk about his arrival at Windsor Castle on Thursday, April 14. Prince Harry said he wanted to “protect” his grandmother, recently weakened. “I make sure she has the right people around her,” he told journalist Hoda Kotb. As for the festivities organized to celebrate the platinum jubilee of the queen, in June 2022, the son of Lady Diana could not confirm his presence and mentioned “security problems”.

The first visit to British soil since their shock interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 for Meghan Markle, this interview would have allowed the Sussexes “to calm the situation” with the royal family and check in with them. Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles were also in attendance. Unfortunately for Harry and Meghan, Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three children were on a skiing vacation in the French Alps at the time and were unable to join the impromptu family reunion.
