Meghan Markle made the news via an action deemed “classy” by those who received it. The Duchess of Sussex helped a cause close to her heart with coffee.

As we know, Meghan Markle supports the fact that young parents can benefit from paid parental leave. She made it known once again with a particular action, paying for coffee to members of an association. This association, PL+US fights for paid parental leave. The duchess offered to the members of the association a voucher of 25$ (about 21€) from Starbucks. The latter working overtime, Meghan Markle wanted to support them through his association, Archewell, reported the Daily Mail.

A gesture that was seen as “incredibly classy” by the director of communications of the association. Neil Sroka shared the proof of the Duchess’s generosity on Twitter, accompanying it with a complimentary text to her. “Duchess of Sussex (aka #MeghanMarkle) bought everyone at @PaidLeaveUS a few cups of coffee while we work overtime for #SavePaidLeave.” “Paid leave” being paid parental leave. He went on to highlight the gesture as “necessary” and said he was “truly honored to know that she supports us in our fight to get #PaidLeaveForAll.”

Meghan Markle’s cherished parental leave

On October 20, Meghan Markle had sent a letter to the U.S. Congress to let them know that families fostering newborns were finding themselves in unbearable situations. Indeed, the United States is one of the only countries that do not allow paid parental leave. The letter was not received as well as hoped. Some politicians had considered it awkward and had said that Meghan Markle should rather focus on her career as an actress than on the American political life. The same reaction from a part of the public regarding the donation to the association. Some have seen in this gesture, a publicity stunt always according to the Daily Mail.
