Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited an apartment near the UN headquarters in New York last September. The Daily Mail reveals a desire to rent a second home in progress.

Since July 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have moved into an 11.2 million pound mansion in California. A residence that they bought with a mortgage of 7.3 million pounds. Archie and Lilibet’s parents moved into this property in the Montecito enclave four months after leaving the royals. Only, the Sussexes are reportedly considering renting a second home, according to the Daily Mail. According to the media source, the couple visited an apartment near the UN headquarters in Midtown East in Manhattan, New York.

It was last September when the couple visited the UN. They would have taken the opportunity to visit this apartment, still according to the source. This visit is one of the few public appearances of the Sussexes since the birth of Lilibet. Moreover, the royal couple was photographed during a meeting with the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN, Amina Mohammed. Many topics were discussed by the trio. These included issues revolving around climate change, women’s economic empowerment, youth engagement as well as vaccine equity.
Meghan Markle seeks position at the United Nations

Basically, Harry and Meghan were visiting New York to attend Global Citizen Live. This was a concert in Central Park to call on leaders to adopt vaccine equity policy. During the same trip, Prince Harry, 37, and Meghan Markle, 40, also met with Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

This trip would not have been totally disinterested. Indeed, Meghan Markle would nurture the ambition to hold a position at the United Nations, according to sources at the Daily Mail. Just like her friend Amal Clooney, the adviser of the former secretary general Kofi Annan.
