While she has just celebrated her first birthday, little Lilibet Diana already shares a special relationship with Princess Beatrice. In addition to their blood ties, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s daughter has an important commonality with her aunt.
If we know that Princess Beatrice has always been very close and complicit with her cousin, Prince Harry, even after he left the royal family, we did not know that she had a special bond with her daughter, the young Lilibet Diana. It is however the case. On June 4, the little girl blew out her first candle, in the United Kingdom, during the Queen’s platinum jubilee. For the occasion, she was photographed by Misan Harriman in the gardens of Frogmore Cottage, where the garden party was held. The portrait, which quickly made the rounds on the Web after the photographer posted it on Instagram, shows Meghan and Harry’s daughter in an adorable romper. If Misan Harriman said he was happy for this “privilege”, it is not the only one that the royal family made him.
Indeed, as revealed by Hello! magazine on Thursday, June 9, it was also him who was behind the famous black and white photos taken for the engagement of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The parents of the little Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli had indeed posed in front of the lens of Misan Harriman, in September 2019, more in love and complicit than ever. “The shoot was incredibly intimate. I came alone without an assistant or extra equipment,” Misan Harriman had said in the columns of Vanity Fair, in October 2019.
Princess Eugenie: her special relationship with Prince Harry
Since their early childhood, Prince Harry and the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew have a strong relationship. According to close sources, they are the two grandchildren of the queen who have the “most natural ties” reported the Daily Mirror. As adults, they would have toured London pubs together. But their relationship is deeper than that. According to Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, authors of the book Finding Freedom, “Eugenie was one of the first people Harry talked to about Meghan.” The Princess of York is even said to be her cousin’s “confidante” and “voice of wisdom”.
